From the Desk of the
Honorable Town Supervisor Glenn R. Nellis
Welcome to Eden!
This is an exciting time of the year in the Town of Eden. After a very wet spring, the farmers are finally able to plant and grow their crops. There are many garden lovers in town as well so they too are now busily getting underway.
It promises to be an active summer. Listed below are a just a few of the many activities occurring in our town:

Of course, the Eden Corn Festival tops off every summer. This is the 47th year of this summer event, which typically brings 120,000 + people to our town of 8,000.
Plans are also actively underway for next year's (2012) celebration of the 200th anniversary of Eden. We were created in 1812. Yes, the same year as the War of 1812, when the city of Buffalo was burned to the ground. We start off the year with a bang! Fireworks on the evening of January 1st, followed in March by the Town's Birthday Party. More to come on this and several other events that will occur during the year 2012.
If you are visiting our town today, feel free to stop by one of our many restaurants. Oh yes, don't forget to visit the Kazoo Museum as the original American musical instrument called the Kazoo is still manufactured today in Eden. This small museum tells the 100 + years history of this instrument. Step back in time when you visit the Kazoo Factory and browse through the Kazoo Boutique Gift Shoppe as well. Often tours are given, especially when groups call ahead and in the summer, such a tour could be coupled with a nearby tour of the Historic Society Museum located in the Asa Warren House. This house is reputed to have been part of the Underground Railroad helping slaves escape from the South during the 1800s.
While geographically the Town of Eden is slightly over 40 square miles in size, just about the same at the City of Buffalo, it is a rural community (population 8,000) built upon agriculture that still prospers today with 5th and 6th generation farm families.
