Eden Police Department Programs and Services

TRAFFIC SAFETY UNIT The Eden Police Traffic Safety Unit's primary objective is to make the roadways of Eden safer for motorists, their passengers, and residents. The unit attempts to achieve this goal through strict and aggressive enforcement of the Vehicle and Traffic Law with priority given to speed, alcohol, red light, seatbelt/child restraining violations. They will also conduct public education projects to assist in obtaining the stated goal. The Unit has and is aggressively seeking federal, state and private grant monies for new programs and services that will benefit the community. Grant money assists the department in implementing these programs without the expense of local tax dollars while returning Federal and State tax money back into the community. They have achieved measurable results in the past, and hope to continue to accomplish even more through additional proposed projects. Click here to view more programs and services.
