NOTES & FACTS FROM THE POLICE BLOTTER

A one car accident claimed the life of two North Collins residents. On September 6th a vehicle being operated by Carol Schosek left the highway, striking an earth embankment and overturned. The road was being resurfaced at the time and warning signs were in place.

A burglary occurred at the GLP school on September 14th. Police learned that twice the building had been entered over the weekend by two different groups of juveniles. The first group broke in through a rear window and left through a gym door. The second group later entered after finding the gym door open. Minor damage occurred as the youths tore down posters and signs and $6 was taken. Several youths were taken to Family Court on both instances.

A 16 year old youth possession of an alcoholic beverage lead to additional charges of possession of marijuana, criminal impersonation, and disorderly conduct. Because of his behavior, he was arraigned by Judge Cooper and released to a relative.
