  • Investigated numerous complaints of vehicles being entered in the Eden hamlet area. Two juveniles were found to have been entering cars, taking stereo equipment, radios, cds, money, cigarettes, garage door openers, and EZ Passes among other things. • Police charged a 16 year old Eden youth first, with Unlawful Possession of an Alcoholic beverage and the following day with two counts of burglary after the beer he possessed was found to have been stolen from two residences in Town. He was released to his parents. This same youth was found two years ago at a teenage party intoxicated and unconscious lying in a snow bank, face down and vomiting from alcohol poisoning. He was transported to a hospital at that time and also treated for hypothermia. It was feared at that time that if police hadn't found him he may have died from exposure.
  • Note to residents, the winter parking ban is now in effect. It is illegal to park on the street between the hours of 2 A.M. and 7 A.M. This law was made to assist the highway department in removing snow from the highway to better protect us. Please be considerate for everyone's safety and abide by this law.
