  • Rob Ellis was honored as the department's employee of the month for May. He was selected for his outstanding commitment and follow-up to complaints and crimes.

  • We'd like to congratulate all the participants in our Bike Rodeos and hope that you all had fun. Please remember to ride safely and follow the rules while riding bikes, roller blades, or skateboards. A special thanks to the American Legion Post 880 and the Eden Dairy Queen for their donations.   • Bicycle Winners: Katherine Caldwell and Carly Stoll

  • Arrested a Lackawanna, N.Y. man for False advertising and Fraud. That individual had sold ad space on a dinner placemat that he said was to benefit the American Legion. He had charged between $37.50 and $97.50 per ad. The Legion never authorized the individual to use their name nor did they hire him. Since the individual's arrest other communities are learning that the individual did the same in their Towns.

  • Police responded to a report of a plane down on Bauer Rd. A small plane which had to make an emergency landing, was found. The pilot reported that he had had a carburetor problem. No one was injured nor was the plane damaged.

  • Emergency Personnel from East Eden Fire and Eden Rescue were called to assist in searching for an elderly male that had not returned home after several hours from a walk. Manpower began searching fields and woods in the East Eden area and successfully located the gentleman at approximately 6:30 A.M. after being called out at 10 P.M. the night before. The individual was transported and treated at a local hospital and has since been released.

  • Members of the Reserve Police Unit and students from the school's internship program recently completed fingerprinting all of next years kindergarten class. If your child missed it, and you would like a record for your files, please call the station and arraignments will be made to help you.

  • Contacted the Eden Rescue Squad to retrieve a large dog that had fallen off a cliff on Sisson Highway near Hardt Rd. The owner of the property was dog sitting while the owner was away. While walking the dog it bolted over the cliff landing on a ledge approximately 70 feet above the creek bed. Squad personnel repelled down the cliff and attached a harness on the dog, bringing him up to safety.

  • Issued a Springville man four traffic summons for violations after he was clocked speeding on East Eden Road in excess of 80 mph. The driver, who attempted to elude police, lost control of his vehicle on New Oregon Road in North Collins. He was also issued tickets by the Erie County Sheriff Department who had responded to the area to assist stopping the vehicle.

  • Arrested a Blasdell man for Burglary and Criminal Trespass after he was found in an East Eden Road residence. A wallet and cash taken from the residence was recovered.
