NOTES & FACTS FROM THE POLICE BLOTTER

On March 3rd, Eden Police responded to a report of a vehicle
in a snow ban on Paxon Road. Upon arrival, patrol observed a
vehicle that had struck a tree. The driver exited
the vehicle and the officer noticed a strong odor of alcohol.
Robert Gawronski, 19 Eden failed field test and was placed under
arrest for DWI.
- Eden Police received a report of a vehicle fire on March 5th.
Eden police, Eden Fire Department, and Eden EMS were all dispatched
and patrol observed a tractor-trailer fully engulfed upon his arrival.
As the flames were being extinguished, an overhead power line was
melted and fell onto a fireman. Brent Hardy was taken to ECMC and
released the following day. Investigation of the fire deemed
it accidental.
