NOTES & FACTS FROM THE POLICE BLOTTER
  • James Quinones was selected as Officer of the Month. Jim recently graduated from the Rural Police Acadamy as one of the top recruits, receiving 4 awards at the Academy's graduation ceremony.

  • The Department wishes to congratulate the nearly 140 5th grade students at Main Street Elementary for their most recent graduation from DARE class. We'd also like to t hank Mrs Maynard, Mrs Galley, and those students that assisted with the presentations. We would also like to congratulate the DARE essay winners - Eric Bermingham, John Rakiecki, Kelsey Dziwulski, Kristyn Bermingham, Scott Scheffler, and Adrian Palleschi.

  • Investigated a home burglary on East Eden Road. Entry was gained by breaking a window. Once inside the home was ransacked. Family members reported a VCR missing at this time with an inventory to be completed.

  • Another burglary was reported on Mill Rd. The apartment resident returned home and found her TV and other electrical equipment missing.

  • Arrested a 19 year old Eden youth for DWI after his vehicle left the highway at about 3:00 A.M. and struck some yard posts. He was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident after driving away while police were investigating.

  • Two juveniles were questioned and one was referred to a Junior Fire Intervention Program after a Knoll Road resident reported her home was entered and damage was found to the exterior of the home. Although the house was searched by the intruders, nothing was found missing. Several windows were broken by the youths. The Fire Intervention Program was recommended as matches were thrown around the home.
