Lt. Michael Felschow

Lieutenant Michael Felschow

Lieutenant Michael Felschow is second in command of the Eden Police Department and is the Field Training Officer. In addition to his regular police duties, he is in charge of all breathalyser records and maintenance of equipment. He prepares bi-annual reports which enable Eden to obtain funding from the STOP-DWI PROGRAM. Eden should receive more than $15,000 from this program from 1998.

Lieutenant Felschow also specializes in accident reconstruction, having received extensive training in crash management. He is called to investigate, follow-up and diagram all serious and fatal accidents. Mike was hired in May of 1974, having just finished college and obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 1988. He prefers working the midnight shift and is an excellent on patrol.

He was instrumental in arresting a career criminal after observing him exiting a local business early one morning. That person was suspected of committing many burglaries all over western New York. He has also received a number of honors for his diligence in traffic enforcement.

Erie County's Stop DWI committee has recognized the work Lt. Felschow has accomplished in enforcement and has yearly, for the past several years, honored him for that outstanding work. MADD, Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, also honored Mike in 1996, selecting him as Officer of the Year for his DWI enforcement.
