From left to right; Brent Hardy, Allen Reith, Becky Kaminski These three
members were given a life savers award for a cardiac arrest patient that they
were able to bring back to life after his heart stopped beating. The patient is
currently alive and well.

Ken Franz The Eden Emergency and Rescue Squad gave Ken Franz two awards.
The first was an appreciation award for the number of years of service as the
Rescue Captain. Ken had held many positions with in the organization, however he
maintained his position as the Rescue Captain for 19 years. The second award
that Ken was given, was the Kenneth Franz Award. This is the first year it was
given out, therefore those on the committee thought it a good idea to name it after
Ken. The award was given due to the fact that Ken has done more than just
participate in the on goings of the organization. He has also been a large
proponent of the Rescue facet of the organization. essentially building Rescue
from the ground up, prior to any real rescue standards. Ken of course did this
with the help of many who have since passed on. Fortunately, Ken is still a part
of the organization. He has simply stepped down to the lieutenants position so
that he can be part of the organization, but also pursue some of his other
endeavors. |
