Town of Eden 2012 Bicentennial
The Town of Eden is celebrating its 200th Birthday in 2012 with a series of events throughout the year. These events will highlight the rich history of this agricultural community as we look to the future.

Mike Randall as Charles Dickens: Saturday, November 17th at 7:00 pmJoin us at the Eden United Methodist Church for a performance of Charles Dickens Presents: A Christmas Carol by local performer/meteorologist Mike Randall. This performance is a part of our Bicentennial festivities since Charles Dickens was born in 1812 and, like the town of Eden, is celebrating his bicentennial this year. Tickets will be available in mid-October. Additional details and ticket information will be posted soon.
Community Ecumenical Service: Sunday, December 2nd at 5:00 pmEdenís churches will jointly host an ecumenical service to wrap up this historic year. This seasonal service of thanksgiving and song will be held at Edenís United Methodist Church.
The Bicentennial year should be one of community involvement, fun, pride, and thankfulness. The success of this celebration is dependent on the support and involvment of everyone - religious and community organizations, businesses, agri-business, and the school community.
